About

Tiffany Tuttle has been working as a shoe designer in Los Angeles for the past 20 years.  She began her career in clothing design at Givenchy under Alexander McQueen and Rebecca Taylor in New York. After designing shoes for a runway show, Tiffany pivoted to footwear full time and attended Ars Sutoria in Milan.  In 2005, she launched LD Tuttle, a women’s footwear brand based in Los Angeles and produced in Northern Italy.  LD Tuttle quickly became known for its minimal, forward aesthetic, creating shoes and boots made with the finest Italian craftsmanship.

Through her extensive time spent at the factories, Tiffany gained a deep understanding of the technical process of shoemaking.  She has a strong personal relationship with the artisans at the factories and a great appreciation for their work.

Over the years, Tiffany has with collaborated several designers on runway shoes and commercial collections including Victoria Bartlett for VPL, Peter Pilotto, Matthew Ames, Doo.ri and Creatures of Comfort.  From 2015 to 2019, Tiffany designed and produced the runway and commercial shoe collections for Helmut Lang.

In 2011, Eileen Fisher launched their first footwear collection with Tiffany as the designer.  She worked within the ethos of Eileen Fisher creating clean elegant footwear with an emphasis on  sustainability.  Tiffany has worked with and continues to research new sustainable materials, modes of production, packaging and reliable certification.
